Directions to cleftRock

1. Traveling North on I-75
Take exit 41 in London. Go west on HW 80 for 12.8 miles (will cross Rockcastle River). Turn right onto1956. Go 2 miles and turn left onto 1249. Go 4.2 miles, turn right onto cleftRock Road. Go 3 miles to clefRock.

2. Traveling South on I-75
Take exit 62 to Mt. Vernon. Turn right onto US 25 and continue 2 miles into Mt. Vernon (left at McDonalds). At junction of US 25, HW 150 and 1249, go through traffic light, UP STEEP HILL onto 1249. Go 12.3 miles to cleftRock Road, on the left. Go 3 miles cleftRock.

3. Traveling east Cumberland Parkway via Somerset
Go east on HW 80 (about 16 miles from Somerset) until you pass mile marker 38, turn left onto 1956. Go 2 miles and turn  left 1249. Go 4.2 miles, turn right onto cleftRock Road. Go 3 miles to cleftRock.

Policies and Guidelines

cleftRock is a safe and encouraging place, therefore we would appreciate "No Put Downs," either in joking or anger.

Extreme care must be given to guard against forest fires. We are adjacent to the Daniel Boone National Forest. Do not start any fires inside or outdoors. Smoking is not allowed in any building. If one smokes outdoors, totally extinguish all remains.

1. Upon arrival go to the Brookfield Lodge, located 1/4 mile on the right beyond cR Rock. cR staff will welcome, register, & orient guests. Schedule 1 hour for this shared time.

2. No firearms, hunting, gambling, alcohol or illegal substances.

3. No pets allowed.

4. There are no TV sets in the retreat housing, and we ask that you do not bring radios, tape players or TVs.

5. All buildings have central heat and air conditioning. Lodge telephone requires credit card or one may call collect. 800 # rings into the Lodge.

6. There are hiking trails, horseshoes, volleyball courts, ping pong tables and half-court basketball. Bonfires are upon request. For your safety, hikers MUST check in with Directors before going on any trails.
